Each year Applecross Senior High School offers a variety of scholarships to students entering and currently at the school.
Year 8 Academic Extension – Entry Scholarship
The Scholarship comprises of a reduction in the Year 8 school Compulsory Charges & Voluntary Contributions – initially covering the voluntary contributions and then any residue being deducted from the subject charges.
This is awarded to the top five students who participated in the Academic Extension test in each of the four subjects: English, Mathematics, Science, and Society and Environment.
Year 8 Special Art – Entry Scholarship
The Scholarship comprises $1 000.00 of managed funds for the successful recipient – this sum will be used to pay the recipient’s school charges and contributions, Visual Arts Program fees, Special Art Camp fees, and related Visual Art Program expenses.
Selection will be based on outstanding demonstrated practical performance in Visual Arts as evidenced in the GATE Visual Arts testing and interview, and a Primary School Report demonstrating sound academic performance.
Year 10 Special Art Endeavour Scholarship
The Scholarship comprises $200.00 to a graduating Year 10 Special Art student who plans to continue in the Gifted and Talented Education: Visual Arts Program for Years 11 and 12.

Parents are invited to attend the launch of our new policy “A Shared Concern Approach to Bullying” on Thursday 20 June @ 6.45pm in the school staff room.

Term 2 concludes for students on Friday 5th July. Term 3 commences for students on Tuesday 23rd July.
In Terms 2 & 3 the shop is open each Monday 1pm to 4pm, and Wednesday 8am to 11.30am.
Due to the building project the main car park is now out of use. Parents are asked to drop off & pick up either on Ardessie St or Links Rd. The front driveway is NOT a kiss & drive zone.
