Under the Stars Picnic Concert - Update

Unfortunately the weather is not playing in our favour tonight's concert, it has been necessary to make a decision today so that all of the concert logistics can be planned and changed accordingly.  Based upon the information currently available to us, we need to cancel the outdoor picnic component of the concert and move it indoors.  This is to ensure safety for all and protect our students’ instruments and electrical equipment.  If we were to delay the decision until tomorrow and it does rain, we would be faced with a bill of nearly $4000 for staging equipment and lighting that would no longer be required and couldn’t be refunded.

All tickets purchased through TryBooking to date will be fully refunded.  There is no need for you to do anything, we will arrange this automatically via TryBooking.

A new ticketing link is available at  Tickets are now $10 each and are strictly limited to two tickets per performer.

We sincerely apologise that we must restrict tickets and completely understand the disappointment that many families will feel, however in order to accommodate enough tickets for every performer this is our only option.  We know how hard the performers have all been working toward this concert and we don’t wish to pursue any options that would see the concert being cancelled completely.

We have approximately 200 performers and a maximum of 200 seats in the Performing Arts Centre.  By splitting the concert into two performances we will be at maximum capacity with the two ticket limit.  (Mr Stapleton will be in contact with those families who have performers in both concerts.)

We ask that you please consider all of our music students and other families when booking your tickets and adhere to the 2 ticket limit.

(Regrettably, we must refuse the purchase of additional tickets beyond the limit of 2 per performer in all circumstances.)

We strongly encourage you to purchase your tickets via TryBooking before the concert, particularly as there will now be allocated seating.  However if you do intend purchasing your tickets at the door please note that we can only accept cash.  No eftpos or credit card facilities are available.

Just as a reminder, the concert format will be as follows:

Concert 1             6:30pm to 7:45pm

Combined Guitar Ensembles

Cygnet Strings

Guest Act 1 (Eloise & Hannah)

Concert Band 2

Concert 2             8:00pm to 9:30pm

Jazz Band

Chamber Choir

Guest Act 2 (Karyn & Lisa)

Scimitar Strings

Concert Band 1

Please ensure that you select the correct performance i.e., Concert 1 or Concert 2 when booking your tickets.

We thank all of those people who have volunteered to help the concert.  As we are now indoors, we will no longer require our Grounds Ushers.  We do still require the following roles:

Stage Crew (for both concerts);

Front of House (for both concerts i.e., at 6:00 and 7:30);

Selling Drinks and Snacks in between the two concerts (i.e., between 7:45 and 8:00 – approximately 5 people); and

Clean Up

We currently have volunteers who have nominated for all of the above roles.  If you are still able to assist, that would be great!  If you are no longer able to assist, can you please advise Cath Standing via email at as soon as possible so that we can put the word out for additional helpers.

We thank you for your understanding and wish that circumstances would have seen us enjoying our annual music sojourn under the stars.  If you have any queries, please contact Cath Standing on 0418 914 424 or via .
