Great Outdoor Adventures - Cadets WA

A great way of getting skills and broadening your experience is via a cadet program. Secondary school students who join a cadet program typically undertake adventurous training, camping, hiking, sporting activities and exercise their leadership potential.

Here I am pictured with a young fellow that I go and watch play basketball every Saturday for the school where he is a boarder. I consider him to be sort of my grandson as his dad lived at our house so he could complete school.

Each year Applecross Senior High School offers a variety of scholarships to students entering and currently at the school.

Gifted and Talented Education: Visual Arts

Year 8 Special Art – Entry Scholarship
The Scholarship comprises $1 000.00 of managed funds for the successful recipient – this sum will be used to pay the recipient’s school charges and contributions, Visual Arts Program fees, Special Art Camp fees, and related Visual Art Program expenses.

Selection will be based on outstanding demonstrated practical performance in Visual Arts as evidenced in the GATE Visual Arts testing and interview, and a Primary School Report demonstrating sound academic performance.

Year 10 Special Art Endeavour Scholarship
The Scholarship comprises $200.00 to a graduating Year 10 Special Art student who plans to continue in the Gifted and Talented Education: Visual Arts Program for Years 11 and 12.
